Ronald Parker Jr. passed away Friday, December 30, 2022, at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg after battling liver cancer. He was 56 years old.
Born in Bennettsville on February 28, 1966, Ron was a son of the late Ronald and Autry Sheppard Parker. He spent most of his career employed as a welder for Montone Trailer Sales in Dillon. He was an avid fisherman and “could catch a fish in a mudhole.” He was also a Seattle Seahawks fan and enjoyed his dogs, hunting, and golfing. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Ron was preceded in death by his father, listed above and a brother, William “Hoppy” Parker.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Crystal Jones Parker of Blenheim; mother, Autry Sheppard Parker of Bennettsville; sons, Dustin Parker (Kimberly) of Wallace and David Parker (Gabrielle) of Blenheim; brothers, Richard Parker (Kristi) of Laurinburg, Tommy Pierce (Tasha) of Bennettsville, Jerry Parker (Elizabeth) of Bennettsville, and Paul Boyd of California; sister, Michelle Parker of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Aidan Parker, Layla Parker, and Gracie Parker; nephews, Tommy and Marcus Parker; nieces, Ashtyn Parker, Taylor Parker, Michaela Parker; and special friends, Woody Blue, Robert Parnell, and Will Rowell.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Burroughs Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
