Bennettsville
Mr. Roy Edward “Eddie” Quick, Sr. passed away, Thursday, December 16, 2021, after an illness. He was 71 years old.
Eddie was born in Bennettsville, SC on July 16, 1950, to the late Roy Elvin and Norine Freeman Quick. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bennettsville. He served honorably in the United States Army. He was a machine operator for over 40 years, with Galey & Lord and West Pointe Stevens. He loved going to church, singing, football, NASCAR, westerns, and spending time with his family.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory; son, Roy E. Quick, Jr.; daughter, Emily Armfield (Jerome); brothers, Ray Quick (Betty) and Tony Quick; sister, Vickie Cutchin; grandchildren, Katie Quick, Jasmine Armfield, Christy Quick, Cindy Quick, Chris Armfield, and Jalyn Armfield; great grandchildren, Ava Armfield, Chris Armfield, Jr., and Karter Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above; brothers, Jimmy Quick and Randal “Randy” Quick.
A funeral service will be held 11am, Saturday, December 18, 2021, at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bennettsville, officiated by Rev. Thomas Buck, with burial at McCall Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Friday, December 17, 2021, at Burroughs Funeral Home.
