Sara (Wilson) Leviner

Sara Wilson Leviner of Sumter, SC formerly of Bennettsville, SC was born on October 3, 1938, and Jesus came to carry her home on October 12, 2023.

She was the daughter to the late Jack C. Wilson (JC) and Catherine H. Wilson of Bennettsville, SC. Sara was a devoted, wonderful, caring and loving mother to a son, Michael D. Leviner (Michelle) of Florence, SC; daughters, Cathy Garner (Danny) of Chapin, SC and Betsy Poston (Gary) of Sumter, SC.

Sara was a devoted to her Lord and a member of the Church of God for well over 60 years. Sara was a Sunday school teacher, sang in the choir, and participated in many church activities. Sara has influenced many children and adults to follow Christ. She was one to give to others and love everyone. She had a caring and sparkling heart.

Sara loved spending time with her family, especially her brother Mike Wilson and Alice, of Lexington, SC. She enjoyed cooking, Shopping, reading her Bible, and spending time with all her grandchildren.

Sara worked for DSS and the Welfare office for over 50 years. Sara accomplished retirement at the young age of 47 years old and continued to work with DSS even after retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Leviner; daughter, Harriett; her parents listed above and a brother, Jack Wilson.

Sara leaves to cherish her memory a host of family and friends who will meet her in Heaven.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 16, 2023 at Rogers Cemetery in McColl, SC.
