Sherry Kay Polston McLain, 73, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 10, 1949, in Bennettsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Julius S. and Beulah Gowd Polston. Mrs. Sherry attended Bennettsville Church of God and Blenheim Church of God at different times when she was able. She enjoyed listening to music, riding the golf cart and riding in the country.

She is survived by her husband, Wilson “Rab” McLain; sons, Michael Wilson McLain and Christopher Lynn McLain both of the home; daughters, Sherry Ann McLain of Bennettsville and Teresa Kay Tyndall (Jimmy Sr.) of Bennettsville; brother, Tony Polston (Urico) of Raleigh, NC; sister, Carolyn Dale Polston Conyers of McColl; grandchildren, Brandon Lee Tyndall, Kaytie Louise Tyndall, Branson Ray Taylor, Braxton “Monk” Eric Taylor, BryLeigh “Baby Doll” Suzanne Taylor; and many nieces and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; sister, Shirley “Boone” Fay Polston Oxendine; grandson, Jimmy Allen “Little Man” Tyndall, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Burroughs Funeral Home, with a visitation just prior to the service from 3 until 4 p.m. at the funeral Home.
