Sue (Leverette) Scott

Mrs. Sue Leverette Scott, widow of Samuel Leonard Scott, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Cheraw Healthcare after an illness. She was 88 years old.

Sue was born in Anderson, SC on May 24, 1933, to the late Almond Oliver and Della Cleveland Leverette. She was a prior member of the First United Methodist Church and current member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church. She was a secretary and office assistant for the Soil & Water Conservation. She loved working outside in the yard, plants, spending time with family and friends, and most importantly her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; daughter, Jane Seamans (Bill) of Laurinburg, NC; grandchildren, Hannah Flowers Foley (Patrick) and Sarah Jane Flowers; grandchildren, Molly Seamans Hendricks (Justin), Erin Seamans Lyons (Jonathan), Austin Seamans, and many dearly loved nieces and nephews and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband listed above; daughter, Susan Scott; brothers, Bob Leverette, Raymond Leverette, and Al Leverette; sisters, Geneva “GG” Allan, Doris Ramsey, and Pat Ozmint.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2pm Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Josh Hilton. A visitation will be held from 1 until 2 p.m. just prior to the service in the Parlor at the church.
