Thomas Franklin Dew, Sr. passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at his residence. He was 76 years old.
Born January 16,1946, in Bennettsville, Thomas was a son of the late Sally Frazier and Coleman Beasley Dew. He was the retired owner of Dew’s Garage & Thomas Taxi Service and attended the Bennettsville Church of God. Thomas enjoyed watching westerns, cooking, and gardening. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents listed above; wife, Susan Faye Dew; daughter, Carolyn Louise Nichols; brothers, David, Carroll, and Charles Dew; sister, Lillie Mae Usher; and grandson, Caleb. He is survived by sons, Thomas Franklin Dew, Jr. (Karen) of Bennettsville, David George Dew (Amber) of Longs, and stepson, Les Freeman (Meredith) of Florence; daughter, Heather Kristine Small (Geoffrey) of Blenheim; brothers, Coleman Dew (Flora) of Dillon and Prentiss Dew of Cheraw; sister, Marilyn Dew Wilson of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Thomas III, David, Ashley C., Kim, Ashley M., Ryan, Amanda, David, Sara, Khloe, Zoey, Joshua, Brantley, Connor, Isaiah, Asher, Alex, Matt, Andrew, Ethan; and 22 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Bennettsville Church of God, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022, at the funeral home.
