Thomas Reece Pevey, Sr.

Thomas Reece Pevey, Sr., passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at Scotland Memorial Hospital. He was 73 years old.

Thomas was born on December 9, 1951, in Marlboro County, SC to the late George Allen and Annie Pearl Grooms Pevey. He was a member of Fletcher’s Chapel. He served in the United States Air Force. He worked as a Construction Superintendent for Gilbert Construction. He enjoyed fishing, car shows, carpentry, and spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory; his wife, Ginger Kay McCaskill Pevey; sons, Henry Pevey (Raquel), Randall Lockamy (Elizabeth), Thomas Reece Pevey Jr. (Robyn), and Thomas Reece Pevey, III; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, 7 siblings, and son, Terrell Jacob Pate.

A memorial service will be held at 4pm, Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Fletcher’s Chapel, officiated by Rev. Andy Stewart. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service there at the church.
