Timothy Warren Sparkman

Blenheim, SC Timothy Warren Sparkman, 59, passed away peacefully Friday, January 21, 2022, at McLeod Hospital in Florence, under Hospice Care, After an extended illness.

Born March 24, 1962, he was a son of the late William Clyde and Vivian Page Sparkman. Tim was a 1980 graduate of Blenheim High School. He worked in grocery and other retail businesses for over thirty-five years. He was an outgoing person who was liked by everyone he came in contact with. Many of his customers, mainly the older ones, often commented on Tim and how much he helped them and how much they enjoyed the time he took up with them.

He was a natural pianist, who loved to play and sing for family and church gatherings. He loved growing flowers and plants, and feeding the birds. He was never blessed with much material wealth but he was blessed with some caring family, friends and neighbors, whom he appreciated and loved very much, and enjoyed spending time with them.

His last few months were spent at BTU Assisted Living Facility in Bennettsville, where he received the best of care from a caring and loving staff. They showed genuine love and concern for him, far beyond the call of duty, but because they truly cared for him.

He is survived by his sisters, Dianne (Tom) Carabo of Bleheim, Laura (Patrick) Smith of Bennettsville, and brothers, Wayne (Nita) Sparkman of Laurinburg, NC, Alan (Alice) Sparkman of McColl, Jeff (Sybil) Sparkman of Seneca, Sam (Debra) Sparkman of Bennettsville, Don Sparkman of Blenheim, several nieces and nephews, and special friend, Beth Driggers.

He was preceded in death by his parents listed above.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Burroughs Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Brownsville Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 1 until 2 p.m. just prior to the service at the funeral home.
