Harold Wallace Gooden passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at BTU Rest Home in Bennettsville. He was 70 years old.

Born May 26, 1954, in Bennettsville, Wallace was a son of the late Harold Gooden and Elizabeth Bernie. He was a retired Firefighter with the Bennettsville Fire Department. He loved his job with the fire department and enjoyed model trains and working on police cars.

Along with his parents Wallace was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Gooden.

He is survived by daughters, Brandi Braswell and Tabitha Gooden; sister-in-law, Beverly Gooden of Bennettsville; nieces, Donna Kincer of Bennettsville and Christy Cade of Columbia; 4 grandchildren; 2 great nephews; 3 great nieces; and other extended family members.

A Firefighter’s Funeral with Honors will be held graveside at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Park. The home of Beverly Gooden, 509 Dingwald Street, Bennettsville, SC 29512, is open to friends and family to visit at will. The family will also receive friends briefly, following the service at the cemetery.
