Walter “Stork” Franklin McCall passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at McLeod Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 71 years old.
Born in Bennettsville, SC on January 10, 1955, to the late Howard McCall and Rosa Mae Steen Caulder. He would attend Bristow Freewill Baptist Church. He was a truck driver for Hel-Wig and Sons LLC. He loved fishing, watching sports, the Washington Redskins, the South Carolina Gamecocks, watching Law & Order, his job, and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory; wife, Patricia “Susie” Ann Williams McCall; sons, Franklin Scott McCall and Eric Bryan McCall; daughter, Heather “Missy” Nicole McCall (Robbie Locklear); sisters, Virginia Violet Goins and Barbara Ann Hodge; grandchildren, Jazmyne McCall, Erica McCall, Raylen McCall, Autumn McCall, Kayleigh Leviner, Layla Locklear, and Robbie “RJ” Locklear; great grandchild, Drace Penfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, sisters, Deborah McCall, Peggy Grooms, Annie Taylor, Tammy Caulder; brother, Boyd Allen “Ralph” McCall.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Friday, June 12, 2026, at Victory World Outreach Center, officiated by Rev. JR Chavis, with burial at Bristow Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 5-7pm Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Burroughs Funeral Home.
