Wanda "Strawberry" Karen Rowland

Ms. Wanda “Strawberry” Karen Rowland passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at her residence after a brief illness. She was 61 years old.

Karen was born August 29, 1960, in Hope Mills, NC to Lizzie Ivey Berry and the late Bonner L. Rowland. She was raised going to the Church of God and also attended Antioch UMC. She attended Northeastern Technical College. She was the manager of The Dollar General in Maxton, NC. She enjoyed her dog and spending time with family.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; mother, Lizzie Berry; stepfather, Bogen Berry; brother, Christopher Lee Woods (Ashley) of Chesapeake, VA; stepbrother, Matt Berry (Natalie) of Dallas, TX; stepsisters, Yvonne Woods of Elgin, SC and Elizabeth Berry of Honolulu, HI; beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father listed above; sister, Cynthia Gail Rowland; stepbrother, Larry Woods.

A memorial service will be held 2pm, Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Burroughs Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Jerry Shaw. A visitation will be held from 1-2pm just prior to the service.
