William Marshall Brigman, age 84, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023, at McLeod Health Cheraw, in Cheraw, SC.
William was born January 6, 1939, in McColl, SC to the late Tillman and Josephine Thompson Brigman. He was a retired plumber by trade, he worked with Bryce Mechanical Plumbing and his later years he owned his own company Brigman Plumbing. He was a member of Lighthouse Ministries in Florence, SC. William honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He loved fishing, his dog “Opie” but most of all spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
William is preceded in death by his parents listed above, brothers, Grover Clyde Brigman, Aaron Thompson; sisters, Elizabeth Drury, Letha Thompson, Nellie Cook.
William leaves behind to cherish his memory, sons, William Dargan “Carl” Brigman (Iris) of Bennettsville; daughter, Vanessa Brigman Haney of Hartsville, SC; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; special niece, Faye Cook and “adopted son”, Larry Jeffries of Marion, SC; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Bennettsville Second Baptist Church. A visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. prior to memorial service.
